Objectives

Emergency Triage & Care: Maintain professional veterinary and husbandry standards for the immediate stabilization of native wildlife confiscated by the FDA Wildlife Crime Task Force. Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage and upgrade high-security enclosures, quarantine zones, and clinical facilities to prevent zoonotic disease transmission and ensure animal welfare. Capacity Building: Provide continuous technical training for Liberian animal caregivers and forest rangers in humane handling and rehabilitation protocols. Law Enforcement Support: Act as the primary national repository for seized live animals, enabling the judicial system to process wildlife crimes effectively.

Deliverables

Operational Sanctuary Readiness: 365-day availability of rescue services and professional care for all native species (excluding chimpanzees). Standardized Welfare Protocols: Documented species-specific diet and medical plans that reduce mortality rates for high-stress species like pangolins and duikers. Database of Wildlife Seizures: A comprehensive digital registry of all animal intakes, providing the FDA with critical data on illegal trade hotspots and species trends. Successful Rehabilitation Pipeline: A consistent flow of healthy, "release-ready" individuals prepared for the transition to permanent soft-release sites.
